MK in The Lab LA back in 2015 – a time capsule from when 'deep house' started meaning something different to everyone, and we were all frantically Shazam-ing every other track. The vibe is that of a sweaty, after-hours loft party, all low lighting and contagious groove. This is a classic, vocal-heavy deep house and tech house set, bouncing between 106 and 122 BPM with a solid average of 122, and dominated by the soulful, open key of 12A.
The energy is firmly in the low-end, with warm, subby basslines and funky mid-range chords taking precedence over any aggressive highs.
